"I adopted my dog Dolly during the 5 week forced investigation to help me cope. When I brought her with me to school she lived in my dorm. But dorms are loud and my hall mates stayed up late, had parties, and there was constant door slamming. This irritated Dolly and she simply had to adjust to this stressful new environment. During the first week of my having her, the school threatened to take away my right to have her. After reading the email that they sent me first thing in the morning, I had an emotional breakdown. My dad actually had to take me home that day because of how upset I got. The administrators gave me another week to somehow silence her. My grandmother had to pay for expensive doggie daycare so that Dolly wouldn’t bark while I was in class. And that solved the problem. Had Dolly not been allowed back in the dorms, I would have dropped out and lost all of my credits for the semester."
